Inshell Hazelnuts are from varieties (cultivars) grown from corylus avellana L.And Corylus maxima Mill and their hybrids without involuce or husk and which are intended for direct consumption.
TYPES: According to the their shapes inshell hazelnuts are named differently such as: Tombul (ronud), Badem (Almond), Palaz, Fosa, Mincane, Cakildak, Sivri (Pointed) etc.. From all these types of hazelnuts, round kernels ( Giresun quality round hazelnuts, palaz, fosa) are the most appropriate ones fort he hazelnut processing industries due to the high fat content.
USAGE AREA: Used as raw hazelnuts after cracking the shells or sometimes used as snack by cracking and mixing with salt.
CALIBRATION: 6 different calibrations from 12mm to 22mm
PACKING: In jute bags or vacuum bags in cartonboards |
